Andrea Langlois is a communicator, facilitator, and community-based researcher and is passionate about policy, dialogue, and social movements. She holds a Master’s Degree in Media Studies from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and spent several years engaging in and writing about alternative media. She is the co-editor of two books on autonomous media and pirate radio. Prior to joining ICEERS, Andrea worked for over 10 years in communications, community engagement, and research in the harm reduction and HIV/AIDS sector. Andrea has been involved in research on media coverage of drug policy issues, social dimensions of health (such as housing and stigma), and psychedelic drug policy. She calls Victoria, British Colombia home, and is involved in the local yoga, music and dance community.
