Ricard Faura (1975 – 2025) held a PhD in Social Psychology and a master’s degree in Social Anthropology. He was a Bridge Weaver at ICEERS, advisor to the Indigenous Medicines Conservation Fund, and Associate Professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), where he taught for 20 years. Throughout his career, Ricard worked closely with local and international communities to support biocultural conservation and the regeneration of indigenous medicines. His primary focus was on ayahuasca and iboga, their biocultural use and knowledge systems, and the living ecosystems inhabited by these plants.
