Fernanda Palhano-Fontes is a research engineer at the Brain Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Natal, Brazil. With a PhD in neurosciences and a background in electrical engineering, her work focuses on psychedelics, psychiatry and neuroimaging techniques such as fMRI and EEG, with particular attention to ayahuasca and treatment-resistant depression. She co-authored a study featured on the ICEERS website on long-term psychedelic use and differences in brain structure.
