Maria Carvalho is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the Catholic University of Porto, founding member of the Kosmicare Association, and former Vice-President of ICEERS. Her research spans harm reduction, psychedelic emergency services, ayahuasca and adult cannabis regulation. She has co-authored peer-reviewed studies featured on the ICEERS website on the potential use of ayahuasca in grief therapy and on Shipibo ceremonial use of ayahuasca to promote wellbeing.
