Otto Simonsson is Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, with an honorary fellowship at the Department of Sociology of the University of Oxford. His research focuses on classic psychedelics, meditation, health behavior, adverse effects and the assessment of risks in naturalistic psychedelic use, particularly psychotic and manic symptoms. He has co-authored a peer-reviewed study featured on the ICEERS website on links between ayahuasca use and the corpus callosum.
