Daniel Perkins is Senior Research Fellow and Head of the Psychedelics Research and Therapeutics Unit at the University of Melbourne, with a research focus on ayahuasca and other botanically inspired medicines for mental health and addictive disorders. His work focuses on the epidemiology and mental health outcomes of ayahuasca use in naturalistic settings. He is a co-author — often lead author — of multiple peer-reviewed studies featured on the ICEERS website, based on the Global Ayahuasca Project, the largest dataset ever collected on ayahuasca drinking, with more than 10,000 participants in over 50 countries.
