Mafalda Pardal is Research Leader at RAND Europe and European Lead of the RAND Drug Policy Research Center. With a PhD in Criminology from Ghent University, she previously held positions as Assistant Professor and postdoctoral research fellow at the Institute for Social Drug Research (ISD) of Ghent University. Editor of The Cannabis Social Club (Routledge, 2022), her work focuses on illicit markets, cannabis regulation and drug policy, with a particular focus on the cannabis social club model in Belgium, Spain and Uruguay.
