Maja Kohek is a Slovenian researcher and current member of the ICEERS science team, with a PhD in Medical Anthropology and Global Health from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona). Her work combines ethnographic fieldwork with public health and harm reduction perspectives, addressing the globalization of traditional medicines and the cultural contexts of psychoactive plant use. She has co-authored multiple peer-reviewed studies featured on the ICEERS website on ayahuasca, cannabis, ibogaine and psilocybin in community and ritual settings.
