Miroslav Horák is a Czech social and cultural anthropologist, ecologist and linguist, Associate Professor at the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Regional Development and International Studies at Mendel University in Brno. His work spans anthropology of religion, ethnolinguistics, medical anthropology and ethnobotany, with a focus on drug dependence treatment in therapeutic communities and the use of traditional Amazonian medicine. An ICEERS collaborator, he has co-authored a peer-reviewed study featured on the ICEERS website on the influence of context on ayahuasca drinkers’ wellbeing.
