Oriol Romaní is Professor Emeritus of Social Anthropology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona) and a pioneer in Spanish drug research, with decades of work on youth cultures, drug policy and medical anthropology approaches to substance use. He supervised Maja Kohek’s PhD thesis in Medical Anthropology and Global Health. He has co-authored peer-reviewed studies featured on the ICEERS website on cannabis social clubs and harm reduction, and on the ritual use of cannabis in self-managed communities.
