The Annual World Economic Forum took place in Davos, Switzerland from January 19th to 23rd, in an atmosphere charged with geopolitical tension and uncertainty. Global conflicts reverberated through the corridors of power, while President Trump delivered his speech on Wednesday, as protests took place in the streets, contained by Davos’ heavy security presence.
Beyond the official WEF venue, many parallel gatherings carried a shared undercurrent, echoing calls for “change.” Awareness is clearly growing that our current systems are no longer serving life—yet how to translate this awareness into meaningful transformation remains an open question.
The Time of Alliance
We travelled to Davos alongside Indigenous leader Biraci Nixiwaka Brasil Yawanawa and his Instituto Nixiwaka, along with an extraordinary international team to bring forward a vision rooted in a new Time of Alliance with the Indigenous world. We participated across diverse spaces, including the Climate Hub, Finnish Flow, UnDavos, Mental Health Day, and Sacred Shell. While the first days were intense and at times chaotic, a different rhythm soon emerged — one shaped by listening, presence, and relationship.
As the week unfolded, we encountered key allies across the Davos ecosystem. Leaders from visionary initiatives, networks, companies, and movements found their way to us, drawn by a shared longing for a new type of alliance, bringing the best of our worlds together. In these encounters, something rare became tangible: the quiet magic of relational synergy and alliance-building across historic cultural divides.
Amid the noise and spectacle, we planted many seeds — beginning to weave collaborative relationships leading toward the World Ayahuasca Forum in September, and beyond. For many of those we met, these encounters became the highlight of their Davos experience.
The Davos mission has not finished yet; over the next few weeks we will be working hard on follow ups and continuing to weave the threads into our collaborative tapestry. Stay tuned!
