    Ricard Faura


    Ricard Faura holds a PhD in social psychology and a Master’s Degree in social anthropology. He is an international project developer and evaluator, and an associate professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), where he’s been teaching for more than 15 years. He is currently the ICEERS Coordinator of the Iboga/ine Community Engagement Initiative, where he’s engaging with many African and International perspectives and voices to create a powerful opportunity for influencing how iboga and ibogaine are globalizing, bridging perspectives and strengthening intercultural connections between local, African stakeholders and the global iboga/ine “community.” He has conducted several studies on the subject of risk and harm reduction related to the use of drugs, as well as several evaluations of intervention programs. Throughout his professional career, Ricard has been working as a researcher, evaluator, trainer and strategic planner, co-founding and directing different NGOs specialized in public policies, community participation and projects of social impact at the international level. He speaks seven languages, which has allowed him to work effectively in different regions of the world. In addition to working on the analysis and evaluation of drug policies, Ricard has widely participated in the social transformation of other important causes, such as gender issues, mental health, social inclusion, community and citizen participation and environmental sustainability.
